Peru 2023
November 3-11, 2023
We’re a part of something much bigger…
At Passion Community, we recognize that the call to share the Gospel extends far beyond our local community. Jesus gave His life for the whole world and extends the invitation of life in the Kingdom of God to everyone who believes in Him! While we are passionate about sharing this amazing news with those in Lynchburg, VA and the surrounding areas, we are also excited to partner with believers and ministries in other parts of the world to see the family of God grow there as well!
When we first began partnering with SEBIGMAR Bible School and Esperanza de Vida, we knew that we wanted to provide an opportunity for our Passion family to not only support them through prayer and financial giving, but also through in person visits. These trips not only help to lift the hands of our partners in Peru, but also open our eyes to how the Holy Spirit is moving around the world!
We are so excited to announce that we will be traveling to Peru on November 3-11, 2023 and are extending an invitation to any one at Passion who is interested in a hands on visit with our partners at SEBIGMAR and Esperanza de Vida!

FAQ’s
What will we be doing while there?
The purpose of this trip is to continue to build relationships with the students of the school and with the church in Peru as well as assist in meeting some physical needs of both the school and the people. We will be learning more about the culture, struggles, victories, and stories of Peru as we serve alongside them in the Kingdom of God. We will spend time assisting in the building of a feeding center, being involved in a kids program for the church, and meeting with the students at the school.
Who is covering the cost of the trip?
Each member of the team going to Peru is responsible to raise their owning funding for the trip. This can be done through their own personal finances or by raising support from their friends, family, and community.
Do I have to attend the interest meeting to apply?
No. Applicants are not required to attend the interest meeting on February 5th. However, if you are unable to attend, you are encouraged to contact Pastor Tommy with any questions they may have.
How do I raise support?
While there is no one way to raise support here are a few suggested ways to get started:
- Start with friends and family
- Post the opportunity on social media with a link to donate
- Send a letter to family (don’t worry, people can always send you a check and you can deposit the money yourself into your fundraising account)
- Reach out to those you have supported in the past
- Work with others going and reach out to restaurants or businesses to do a fundraiser night
- Creative? Sell a product you created to help raise funds (ask local stores if you can set up in shop)
